SM Team Members didn’t let the gloomy weather dampen their drive and enthusiasm. Instead, we created our own sunshine with the vibrant color of orange.
PASAY CITY, PHILIPPINES, August 20, 2024 – See how various companies and departments within SM Retail, Retail Affiliates, SM Store, and SM Markets brightened up the dreary days with cheerful orange attire, food, drinks, and decorations. The sunny glow of our orange rainy day outfits truly warmed up the rainy days.
As a very small group of seven, the Simply Shoes family always looks forward to the monthly Wear Me, Bring Me as it is their time to come together and bond as a team. Decorating their little space was exciting enough, but the excitement doubled when food became a part of it. The activity brings the team closer together in a relaxed setting where they get to know each other better.
Team members enjoyed preparing their color-themed salu-salo with kwek-kwek, okoy, and Pancit Malabon. They always look forward to these opportunities to bond with their work family, chat about stuff outside of work, flex their OOTDs, and create memories through photographs and shared stories. Participating in the #WMBM+ activity can be quite a challenge due to their very small group size, but it also opens an opportunity for Business Units to come together and build new relationships across SM Retail.
Long before there was Wear Me, Bring Me, the RAC group had already established its own Employee Engagement program with four pillars: Continuous Development, Recognition & Rewards, Communication & Collaboration, and Wellness & Wellbeing. With the SM Life program now in place, RAC’s Employee Engagement Committee incorporates and amplifies these programs into their pillars. The #WMBM+ activity falls under the Communication & Collaboration pillar, classified under team bonding and celebrations.
With Gen Zs comprising a majority of the RAC Group, the #WMBM+ activity sparks happiness and energy among members. They eagerly anticipate it and take time to participate in it. It breaks down barriers between positions, creates stronger bonds, and hopefully helps in employee retention. See you on our next Wear Me, Bring Me+ for Leadership this August!
